Quentin Blake at the Roald Dahl Museum for Puffin Virtually Live 2012

Puffin Books Virtually Live is a series of free interactive webcasts from Puffin's bestselling authors.

Every year, as part of the celebrations for Roald Dahl Day, Puffin Virtually Live hosts a special Roald Dahl-themed event, broadcasting to many schools and children across the world.

This year's Puffin Virtually Live will take place on Monday 15th September 2014 2 - 2.30pm BST. Helen Skelton will present a whipple-scrumptious half-hour of fun and games to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Keep your eyes peeled for more information on the Virtually Live website.

In 2013 Michael Rosen was back to host the show live from Stratford-upon-Avon, the original home of the RSC's award-winning Matilda The Musical. There was footage from behind the scenes of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Musical, an insight into the making of the Roald Dahl audio books and even a live performance from Matilda The Musical. What's more, Roald's daughter Lucy Dahl joined Michael Rosen live from her home in LA to talk about her father and his love of mischief and mayhem...

In 2012 Michael Rosen - a children's author himself and the writer of Fantastic Mr Dahl, a biography all about Roald - hosted the Puffin Virtually Live webcast from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre. He was joined by Roald's principal illustrator Sir Quentin Blake, who did some amazing live drawing for the many people watching online.
