Which workshop?

There's so many fun workshops happening, our heads are spinning! You can see full line up on our What's On pages, but we've listed our top picks for you here. These will be popular, so book your spaces as soon as you can!

Propsposterous Flying Thingalings
Think of things that fly in Roald Dahl's books, then make a model out of junk! A brilliant, hands-on workshop that's great for the whole family to do - make your own or make together.

Flying in the Words of Roald Dahl
If you need to entertain any young drama lovers this half-term then this is the workshop for you. Actor Amber Dye will get your kids up and acting out flying scenes from Roald Dahl's books using a whole dollop of imagination - with some fun and laughs along the way.
Monday 28 May

Guided Countryside Trails
We'll be planting your feet firmly on the ground for this one. As the weather gets a bit nicer we like to be able to get out and show you some of the local sights that inspired Roald Dahl, and some of the beautiful Chilterns on our doorstep. So book you and your family on a tour and take a stroll with us. You'll be able to listen to some extracts of Dahl's books in the places that inspired them too. Pretty magical stuff!
Tuesday 29 May

Franklin's Flying Bookshop
We love Jen Campbell's beautiful book, Franklin's Flying Bookshop. It's about a dragon who loves to share stories... but everyone is scared of him. Everyone, that is, apart from a little girl called Luna. You'll listen to Jen read an extract, before creating your own drawings inspired by the book.
Wednesday 30 May

Clay Cockatootloos
Messy, creative and fun! Everything you could wish for in a workshop. Find out about some of the birds in Roald Dahl's books, then make a bird out of clay. Great for creative minds. And the best bit? You leave all the clearing up to us!
Friday 1 June

The Magic of Storymaking
This workshop is great for families to do together. You'll find out how to create and tell stories. Perfect your storymaking skills by learning how to project your voice, mould your story and captivate your audience. Go home with new found skills for an epic family storytime!
