Tuesday 13th September 2016 marks 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl, and there are lots of way you can join in the fun and celebrate whether you're at home, in a school or library or out and about!
This is going to be the BIGGEST, most gloriumptious global celebration of Roald Dahl's birthday! Here are some of the ways you can join in on the day and beyond...
This year's Roald Dahl Day marks 100 years since Roald Dahl's birth, and it's going to be the most fantabulous celebration the world has ever seen!
Join the party on 13 September 2016 by downloading our party pack - it contains oodles of ideas, activities and decorations to help you throw your splendiferous party no matter where you are.
Schools up and down the country will be taken over by a whole host of mischief-making Big Friendly Giants, Oompa-Loompas and Matildas for this year's Dahlicious Dress Up Day.
Children will go to school dressed as their favourite Roald Dahl character, have a party, and donate £1 of their marvellous money to Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity to help provide Roald Dahl nurses and family support to children in the UK living with serious and rare conditions.
There are some jumpsquiffling celebrations happening all across the United States to celebrate 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl.
Wondercrump Weekend sees a whole host of phizz-whizzing birthday parties taking place between September 16-18, with bookstores, libraries, public gardens, zoos and eateries hosting parties filled with gloriumptious prizes, whoopsy whiffling activities and more!
Also this September Dahlicious Delights sees popular dessert companies across the country selling deliciously fun treats inspired by Roald Dahl's books, and you can celebrate Roald Dahl's love of nature and animals with Buckswashling Nature, where all sorts of magical events for chiddlers and grown-ups will be taking place at zoos and gardens.
If you're in the UK, head to the Roald Dahl Museum on Tuesday 13 September for Roald Dahl's after school birthday party and celebrate with storytelling, drop-in crafts and special birthday offers in the shop
Or, for a day packed with exciting surprises and events, visit on Saturday 17 September for Museum of the Unexpected, with extra-special festivities featuring storytelling, magic, face painting, trails and a few unexpected surprises...
Once you've got your Dahlicious costumes sorted, make sure your teacher has signed up to watch Puffin Virtually Live's Roald Dahl special on Tuesday 13th September at 2pm.
Watch a performance from the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda the Musical, draw-along with Quentin Blake and invent wondercrump words with the Word Wizards from the Oxford Roald Dahl Dictionary. Plus there's a message from the cast of The BFG!
Visit Cardiff on 17-18 September and prepare to expect the unexpected, for Cardiff will be transformed into the biggest arts event ever to happen on its streets!
