The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre

Make Stories Like Roald Dahl Walk

Join our self-guided walk and complete story activities along the way.

This activity is taking place as part of the Buckinghamshire for Culture Open Weekend, 22-25 July 2021. Find out more about other activities taking place around the county.

Join our self-guided walk and complete story activities along the way. Follow in Roald Dahl’s footstep through the beautiful countryside and village where he lived. Use the lovely views and get close up with nature to help you create story elements. When you’re home again, come back to this page for more story inspiration, including further activities to take part in and videos to watch!

It's FREE to take part! Click here to download the trail map, or pick up a copy from the Museum entrance (available from 22-25 July 2021 only). You don't need a ticket to the Museum to enjoy this activity, however if you wish to tie in the walk with a visit to the Museum, you must book tickets in advance.

The walk will take around 40-60 minutes to complete. It is mostly along paved routes, although the last few metres are over bumpy grass on a downhill slope. Parts of the walk are up and downhill.
