Cafe Manager at the Roald Dahl Museum

We're looking for a Cafe Manager to join our team

Cafe Manager

The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire

Salary and hours: Café Manager: Up to £25k (based on experience), 37 hours per week, including a regular Saturday or Sunday. Café typically open Tuesday to Sunday.

Do you want to lead a dynamic and evolving Café team? Can you deliver great customer service? Do you have management experience? Baking and food prep experience? If your answers are ‘yes’, you could be our new Café Manager.

The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre welcomes thousands of people through our doors every year to experience the wonder and magic of Roald Dahl’s stories. To make sure we keep giving the warmest possible welcome, our Café Manager will play a key role in setting the standard for our Café by overseeing customer service, leading baking and food prep, from opening up to cashing up, staying sharp on hygiene, stock and cost control.

As the Café Manager, your working day will be running the Café to high standards, liaising with the Duty Officer, who is the person in charge of site operation - retail, facilities and visitor experience - on the day. You will be keen to develop new ideas and menus and match your enthusiasms with the work of a Museum that really values and supports professional development. We welcome new menu ideas and cost saving methods; the role encourages use of initiative and creativity.

Come and work with a friendly team in the lovely village of Great Missenden, just 45 minutes from London but surrounded by the beautiful countryside that inspired Roald Dahl.

We are accepting applications on a rolling basis until the right candidate is found. To arrange a conversation about the role and to submit applications email Anita Richardson, Retail & Visitor Experience Manager, anita@roalddahlmuseum.org.
