Sir Quentin Blake, one of Britain's best-loved illustrators shares his dream, I Dreamt I Could Fly.
Much-loved illustrator and Roald Dahl collaborator Sir Quentin Blake's dream captures his desire to soar amongst the characters from Roald Dahl's books. He shares a dream with children all over the world: "the gift of flight!"
Just as Quentin has always managed to capture scenes in stories just as children might have imagined them, so his Dream Jar captures, in his own inimitable hand, the euphoria of batting his wings and soaring amongst characters from Roald Dahl books.
Lookout for Sir Quentin's hand-drawn label on his marvellous Jar. You can find his dream outside The House of Illustration. Don't forget to snap a photo to enter The Marvellous Dream Jar Trail Competition.

Read the creation story behind this Dream Jar
Quentin wanted to make his dream jar simple and ensure it would provide a contrast to the design of other dream jars. His vision was reproduced using his brilliant artwork and his idea of representing pages of a book were finalised to the delight of the creators.
