A knitting group based in Hertfordshire town, Hemel Hempstead are raising money for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity with an eye-catching literary knitting trail featuring famous scenes and characters from the UK’s best loved children’s books.

The talented knitters at Yarn Bomb Hemel Hempstead have created knits inspired by Harry Potter, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Jemima Puddle Duck, Roald Dahl’s Esio Trot and many more.

There is also a knitted Roald Dahl Specialist Nurse with two children in her care, one of which is carrying a crocodile that resembles The Enormous Crocodile!

Each knit adorns a Royal Mail post box in different parts of the town and there is a QR code so visitors can easily make a donation to help the charity provide more Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses, who support seriously ill children with complex, lifelong illnesses across the UK.
