Last weekend Logan (7) and his family held a charity football match to fundraise in aid of Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and they raised a MARVELLOUS £1260!

Logan is supported and cared for by his amazing Roald Dahl Rare Disease Specialist Nurse, Sarah at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. His family say that “without Sarah and her team, we would be lost”.

Logan’s family took part in the 2.6 challenge earlier in the year to raise money for the charity and Sophie, Logan’s mum wanted to do more, saying “the charity sector has suffered immensely due to COVID-19 cancelling most of their fundraisers. Our aim is to raise as much as possible for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity to get them back on track, so they are able to provide more nurses and support even more children. Every seriously ill child deserves a Roald Dahl Specialist Nurse!”

The charity football match took place on a very wet and rainy Saturday, but spirits were high with each player from each team giving a donation to take part. Logan walked out onto the pitch with the players as mascot and proved to be the lucky charm with his team winning 4 – 0!

Alongside the match, Logan’s mum, Sophie organised a raffle, with fantastic prizes kindly donated including helicopter rides and a Blues football shirt raising well over £600.

We are so grateful for Logan and his family’s continued support. There’s still time to donate to Logan’s JustGiving page so please donate if you can:
