During this public health emergency due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Roald Dahl Specialist Children’s Nurses and their specialist teams are under great pressure supporting children and young people with lifelong, incurable illnesses and their families. We are humbled by their dedication and commitment providing a vital lifeline to these families. Thank you from all at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.

For any families caring for seriously ill children, please do consult the following NHS and government guidelines and advice:

Advice from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health

We recommend that everyone should follow the NHS advice on reducing the risk of picking up infections. This includes often washing your hands thoroughly, practicing good hygiene and avoiding contact with people who are unwell. Many families have chosen to self-isolate and keep their child at home. If your child has symptoms, call 111 or contact your healthcare team directly for advice. In an emergency situation, dial 999 immediately.
