The Witches

We thought we'd better write it down, because it's going to be more packed with delights than you could possibly imagine.

We know you're just as excited for this 13th September as we are, so let's get started right away!

There's a sneak peek of never-before-seen chapters of The Witches

You thought you knew everything that happened to the Boy, his Grandmother and the Grand High Witch - but think again! We won't give away all the surprises just yet, but we promise you're in for a delightfully wicked treat.

We've got brand new Roald Dahl publishing

And it's all witchier than you could possibly imagine. We've got a very special edition of The Witches with an extraordinary glow-in-the-dark cover and hidden chapters - this is not one to miss!

Once you've had your spine suitably tingled, you might want to pick up a copy of How to Avoid Witches - the ultimate guide to saving oneself from accidentally being turned into a mouse - or much, much worse. (You can spot this one in shops from 17th September - until then, you're on your own.)

And finally, we're thrilled to share with you The Witches - our first ever graphic novel from Eisner Award-winning artist Pénélope Bagieu. This deliciously dark telling of the story invites the reader to jump right into the world of the witches as you've never seen them before - and it's coming on 3rd September.

How about some unmissable exclusive video releases?

In the week leading up to Roald Dahl Story Day, keep a look out for all sorts of surprises on our Story Day Hub. You'll learn how to draw the Grand High Witch with Pénélope Bagieu, see Helen from the Roald Dahl Museum return for another splendid signed storytelling, and peek at some unseen footage from the making of James and the Giant Peach, with Taika and Friends. You are most welcome.

And of course, there's a brand new Party Pack

...which is packed full of ideas to help you celebrate Roald Dahl Story Day, whether you're at home, in the classroom, or flying through the sky in a Giant Peach.

If all that excitement still isn't quite enough, there's plenty more to come - incredible competitions, quizzes and much, much more. We suggest you keep your eyes peeled between now and Sunday 13th September - you never know what Roald Dahl Story Day delights could be just around the corner...

Where shall we go next?
