Get some feel-good Roald Dahl fun planned this Christmas and head to the Roald Dahl Museum in Great Missenden.

There are some great ways to keep the family entertained on the lead up to the holidays and once the excitement of Christmas Day is over. Here are some top things to do.

Enjoy some feel good family fun
Explore the Museum and hunt for some of the fairytale creatures that feature in Roald Dahl’s Revolting Rhymes with a free trail, or join in with one of the brilliant activities on offer; make seasonal crafts, a clay Gremlin or a fairytale landscape, or even explore the courtyard with torches after dark from 27 to 31 December. On New Year’s Eve kids can even join in with some special parties featuring poems from Revolting Rhymes, as well as lots of games. A brilliant way to welcome in the New Year.

Tuck into Festive food and drink
A visit this Christmas isn’t complete without a festive treat in the Café, choose from delicious hot drinks (including a Whizzpopper!), or even a festive afternoon tea. You can even pre-order Christmas goodies including gingerbread houses, up until the 19 December.

Go on a wintry walk
After all that Christmas food, head out of the Museum with our free trails to see some of the sights that inspired Roald Dahl. A lovely walk along the Christmas tree-line High Street in Great Missenden is guaranteed to put you in the festive mood.
