Join us for a mischievous week this October half-term with Roald Dahl-themed workshops and a Mischief Makers trail.
Book on to one of our family-friendly workshops this half-term to celebrate some of the mischievous tricks in Roald Dahl's books. Great for kids aged 5 and over, and equally brilliant for any accompanying adults with a sparky side too.
Make some optical tricks that the Twits would love, a contraption out of junk that wouldn't look out of place in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, or some crazy glasses inspired by Matilda's special powers! See workshops.
Any budding artists in your group? Then an hour with illustrator Matt Buckingham is just for you! Learn some great drawing tips and make your own character. Matt will help you liberate your inner illustrator - whatever your drawing level. Find out more.
Fancy a peek behind the scenes? Then head to our archive! You'll get the chance to see Roald Dahl's writing up close as you explore his letters and early drafts of his books - with some unexpected discoveries along the way. Great for inquisitive kids and adults aged 8 and up. 25, 27 and 30 October and 1 November.
There'll also be storytelling throughout the week (and free with your Museum ticket!), and a free Mischief Maker trail for you to pick up at the ticket desk.
