Fisher German Scale the 3 Peaks for Charity

Marvellous charity partners Fisher German scale the Three Peaks for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

In July, Fisher German, chartered surveyors and property consultants and charity partners of Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity have completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge, raising funds for seriously ill children. One member of the Fisher German South Central team, Esme has provided a marvellous account of the challenge.

"The walk was a team building exercise and include as many of the team as possible, we had one overnight stay while completing the walk. I think the eight-and-a-half-hour drive to Ben Nevis was enough team building for most.

We arrived at Ben Nevis on Wednesday morning and started our first climb at around 4am. The weather was foggy and a little miserable, but morale was high. It took us around three hours and forty-five minutes to reach the top and hadn't seemed as bad as we thought. However, the walk down was much worse as it was raining heavily and there were various tumbles. It took us another three hours to get down.

On Wednesday night, we had an overnight stay near Scafell Pike - after our sleepless minibus ride and our very long walk, it was needed. We started walking at 7am on Thursday and unlike Ben Nevis, the weather was lovely, and everyone enjoyed it. We completed the walk after five hours and after a bite to eat, we headed for Snowdon.

Arriving at Snowdon at 6.30pm, we had been told that this was the easiest mountain to climb. As it was our last climb, everyone was tired, so it was in fact very challenging. We finished our walk before midnight and ended up four miles away from where we started. Luckily, two locals drove past and gave some of our team a lift to our minibus so we could inform our driver of our whereabouts. We then made our way back to Oxfordshire, arriving at 4.30am. It was a great adventure, but we were relieved to have completed the challenge.

We are overjoyed that we have doubled our original donation target for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. Any further donations would be much appreciated, you can visit our donation page here.

Thank you for your support,

Esme and the rest of the Fisher German South Central Team"

We're very grateful for the splendiferous support our marvellous charity partner Fisher German have provided. They raised over £1,700, which can help fund nearly two weeks of care from a Roald Dahl Nurse for families in the community. We wish to thank everyone who took part in the challenge all those who have donated.
