Pladis High Wycombe Rasises Money for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity

Staff from the High Wycombe branch of Pladis, the biscuit and confectionery company, have taken part in a marvellous squash-athon to raise funds for Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

Pladis is a biscuit and confectionery company and is part of United Biscuits, which is behind well-known brands such as McVitie’s. Staff from the High Wycombe office, recently took part in a marvellous 24 hour Squah-athon event to raise funds to support Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity.

The staff played squash for the whole 24 hours and had lots of fun exercising, having been split into two teams (The red and yellow teams). Fueld by a pizza deliver at 9pm, the staff were determined to carry on playing through the night and at 6.30am the next day, they decided to stop counting the score as it was 63 - 63.

By 9am, the amazing fundraisers were glad that the match was over and everyone was a winner. Friends, family and colleagues helped them reach their fundraising target of £1,000 for the charity.

What's more, Valia, another Pladis employee recently ran 10k in Athens for the charity. She raised £250, beating her target of £200 thanks to her hard work and supporters.

The money raised from these marvellous fundraising events will help Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity provide the best possible healthcare for seriously ill children in the UK.

We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who made the event a success. If you're inspired by the marvellous achievement of the Pladis High Wycombe team, why not take part in your own fundraising event for our charity?
