2016 is going to be quite a year. Not only will be be celebrating 100 years since Roald Dahl's birth, The BFG is coming to the big screen and our favourite Revolting Rhymes will be making their TV debut with a Christmas outing on the BBC.
Roald Dahl's comic twist on childhood stories including Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and the Beanstalk features some iconic lines so, in preparation, here are a few of our favourites...
"I guess you think you know this story.
You don't. The real one's much more gory."
"Jack was nimble, Jack was keen,
He scrambled up the mighty bean."
"Oh where, oh where had Snow-White gone?
She'd found it easy, being pretty,
To hitch a ride into the city."
"It is a mystery to me
Why loving parents cannot see
That this is actually a book
About a brazen little crook."
"The small girl smiles. One eyelid flickers.
She whips a pistol from her knickers."
"Ah, Piglet, you must never trust
Young ladies from the upper crust."
