The Museum Shop, a treasure-trove of Roald Dahl books, toys, games and gifts remains open Tuesday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and on Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Get kitted out for Summer with a Giant Peach t-shirt, a Matilda picnic lunch bag, and a BFG waterbottle.

The Café at the Museum is open Tuesday to Friday 9am to 5pm, and on Saturday from 10am to 5pm, serving freshly-made lunches and snacks, and a delumptious selection of home-made cookies and cakes. Try a slice of Bogtrotter cake washed down with a Swishwiffler… but please, keep your whizzpops to yourself!

Great Missenden

Great Missenden remains a great place for all Roald Dahl fans to visit, to walk the historic High Street and the beautiful Buckinghamshire woods in the author’s footsteps. Visitors can still pick up the Museum’s Village and Countryside Trail leaflets to explore the places that inspired Roald Dahl and appear in the stories. The Countryside Trail is a wonderful hour-long stroll, great for all ages, through the fields and beech woods in the heart of Roald Dahl Country.
