Plan your visit to the Museum, from finding us to deciding which delumptious cake to choose from the Café.
Enter the chocolate doors to discover our three hands-on galleries which tell Roald Dahl’s story and highlight the real-life experiences which inspired his books, with over 40 interactive displays inspiring you to get creative yourself. In Boy and Solo galleries, find out about Roald Dahl’s schoolboy pranks and hunt for the mouse in the gobstopper jar, explore a Gladiator cockpit to learn about his RAF experiences and step inside his original Writing Hut. In the Story Centre, listen to top tips from your favourite authors, make a stop-frame animation, create a character or make up your own gobblefunk word.
At weekends and in the school holidays, our storytellers will entertain you with Roald Dahl’s Dirty Beasts and Revolting Rhymes and you can join in with our events and workshop sessions. Visit Café Twit for delumptious home-made snacks, lunches and cakes (and try a whizzpopper if you dare). In the shop, browse through our swishwiffling selection of books, toys and gifts. Pick up a free Village or Countryside Trail and head out to discover the places that inspired the stories. Your admission wristband will allow you to come and go as you please throughout the day of your visit.
