Roald Dahl Transition Nurse Specialist for Neuromuscular Disorders

Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity and Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust are seeking a Roald Dahl Transition Nurse Specialist to provide expert care and support for young people with neuromuscular disorders.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Band 7 nurse, with experience caring for young people with neuromuscular disorders to work at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust

The successful post holder will provide support, information and expert care for children and young people in both children's and adult neuromuscular services. They will initially focus on young people with the most complex disorders as they move through the transition process. The successful post holder will work alongside the current Roald Dahl Specialist Neuromuscular Nurse who has already made a significant impact on the care the Trust provides.

The successful applicant will also be able to access the Roald Dahl professional development package which will help them to develop their career and the service.  

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity has over 70 Roald Dahl Specialist Children’s Nurses, giving expert help to approximately 21,000 families across the UK. Roald Dahl Specialist Nurses play a critical and complex role. They work directly with the patient and family whilst providing a link between them and the consultant and the hospital.
