Children dressed up for Dahlicious Dress Up Day

We may be coming to the end of Roald Dahl Month but we’re celebrating till the end with Dahlicious Dress Up Day and Puffin Virtually Live this Friday 25th September!

This is the first time these two events have been on the same day so whether you watch for free, dress up and donate to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity or do both, it’s the perfect finale to a rambunctious month of Roald Dahl revelry.

Dahlicious Dress Up Day

The Dahlicious Dress Up Day is the day Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity invites children in the UK to go to school dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl character.

Hundreds of schoolchildren will be donning Mr Twit beards and Big Friendly Giant ears and schools will be overrun with Oompa-Loompas and Willy Wonkas, all to help raise money for seriously ill children.

If you need some inspiration for this twit-toppling day don't worry - our gloriumptious dressing up tips are here to help!

And if you haven’t registered yet sign up your school now!

Puffin Virtually Live

Once you've got your Dahlicious costumes sorted, make sure your teacher has signed up to watch the Puffin Virtually Live Roald Dahl special.

Schools across the globe will be having some twitsy fun exploring the stories of Roald Dahl in new and brilliant ways to help develop your class’s literacy skills.

Classes will be able to:

  • Send in questions about everything Roald Dahl to be answered LIVE by Roald Dahl's official biographer Donald Sturrock
  • Find out how The Twits was turned into a #1 App Roald Dahl’s Twit or Miss
  • Learn to draw like Quentin Blake

The event takes place from 2 - 2.30pm BST this Friday 25th September, so make sure you register now!
