Head to the Roald Dahl Museum this October half-term for some witchy workshops featuring some of the author’s most villainous characters.
Book into one of the week's workshops to make some creepy crafts; why not fashion a Trunchpot out of clay, complete with the grizzly appearance of Miss Trunchbull or make a photo holder in the shape of the Grand High Witch's hands? There's a different event taking place each day, take a look at the full listings to choose your ideal craft.
You can also meet some rather awe-inspiring authors. Fans of whodunits will love Robin Stevens Murder Most Unladylike series of books. The Waterstones Children’s Book Prize winning author will be at the Museum on Saturday 24 October when you'll get the chance to discover the inspiration behind the story and create your very own detective agency.
If encounters from outer space are more your thing, don't miss poet and guitarist James Carter who returns to the Museum on Monday 26 October for a madcap session of aliens, space and science – featuring poems from James’ cosmic books I’m A Little Alien!, Journey To The Centre Of My Brain and Greetings Earthlings!
