Head shot of Roald Dahl nurse

The Charity has been helping to make life better for seriously ill children and their families across Wales for nearly twenty five years

Thanks to Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity, there are five Roald Dahl Nurses based in Wales. All five nurses specialise in supporting children with epilepsy and their families.

  • Three are based in the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport
  • One is based in the University of Wales Hospital Children's Centre, in Cardiff
  • One is based in the Rhuddlian Clinic in Rhyl

The Charity has also just awarded Roz (pictured above), one of the Roald Dahl Nurses in Wales, a development grant of £130 so she can attend a training course in March.

Last year Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity also provided direct support for nine seriously ill children and their families living in financial difficulty in Wales, through its Stronger Families Programme.  For example, the Charity recently helped nine year old Ella and her family for a day out at Longleat for Christmas.
